Automated 3D measurement technology is widely used in precision manufacturing. The AUBO C-series robot (AUBO-C3/AUBO-C5) measurement system builds a stationary inspection station based on collaborative robots. Thanks to the safety features of collaborative robots, it can be deployed on production lines without complicated safety fences. The robot arm has a reach of 1300mm and is equipped with high-precision blue light measuring equipment. It performs non-contact 3D scanning for workpieces below 1m height. For different workpiece sizes, the AUBO C-series robot measurement system adopts customized stitching algorithms. For small workpieces, record stitching is applied to reconstruct complete 3D models rapidly. For large workpieces, group stitching measurement is adopted. The workpiece is divided into multiple zones for sequential scanning, and point cloud data from different groups are merged to obtain full 3D geometry. The system automatically completes path planning, data collection, model stitching and dimension comparison. It replaces manual measurement, reduces human reading errors and improves inspection repeatability.

The AUBO C-series collaborative robot inspection station features compact layout and flexible deployment, supporting in-line inspection integrated with machining lines.
